About the Journal

The DarTU Journal of Humanities and Education (TJHE) is a biannual, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research articles and reviews on topics related to the broad areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, Education and Human Development. It is an Open Access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without seeking prior permission from the publisher or authors. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of Open Access.

TJHE is committed to upholding sound ethical principles in its publications and quality of manuscripts. Any kind of ethical misconduct is unacceptable. TJHE does not tolerate plagiarism or any copyright infringement. All parties involved in the editorial processes are expected to conform to all standards of professional ethical behaviors.

The DarTU Journal of Humanities and Education (TJHE) is owned by Dar es Salaam Tumaini University through both the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and School of Education and Human Development. TJHE was established in February 2022 as a print publication.  Recently, it has been decided to establish online publishing as well. The intention is to continue with the publication whereby both print and electronic versions are produced.
