Information For Authors
TJHE receives manuscripts all the time throughout the year
- Manuscripts intended for publication with DarTU Journal of Humanities and Education should be submitted electronically in ‘word’ format, double spaced, and with wide margins (at least 2.5 cm on all four sides).
- Manuscript can be submitted in English British or American but consistently.
- Title page should include the following: (i) title of the article; (ii) name of the author(s) and title(s)/salutation; (iii) institutional affiliation and address (iv) official email address and phone number(s) of the corresponding author. The details of the title page should not appear anywhere else in the paper except the title of the article which is expected to appear immediately after the title page.
- Title should be in Bolded Title Case; the first character in each word in the title has to be capitalized.
- Title must be informative and specific. It should be easily understandable by reader and should reflect motive of the manuscript.
- The title should be not more than 120 Characters.
- The manuscript should typically be in the following order
- Abstract: The abstract should include a brief introduction, a description of the hypothesis tested, the approach used to test the hypothesis, the results seen and the conclusions of the work. The abstract should not be more than 250 words in length.
- Keywords: A maximum of five most important terms that describe your research domain and specific problem area investigated. They should be written left aligned, arranged alphabetically, and the line must begin with the words Keywords boldfaced.
- Introduction:It is a brief section usually not more than a page. It should be informing the reader of the relevance of your research.
- Review of Literature:This section includes a short history or relevant background of the research area being addressed.
- Methods:This section should provide details on how the research was conducted.
- Findings and Discussion:This section describes the outputs generated in the methodology section. Elaborate and compare your findings with previous research performed in the past.
- Conclusion:Final extract of the research performed.
- Illustrations (artworks, maps, and photographs, tables and figures) should be clear, and of high resolution with legible captions.
- Tables/figures should be placed at the end of text, after footnotes, appendices and references. Tables should contain a source and units of measurement. Their location in the text should be indicated as follows: Table 1 about here
- Present graphic material so that the meaning is immediately clear by including a title on every figure and table and labeling axes and diagrams.
- Tables and figures should be single space

- Page Orientation: Portrait
- Number of Columns: 1
- Manuscript size and pagination: Manuscript should range between 5,000 and 8,000 words (including references and appendices). The pagination should be at the center bottom
- Notes, Citations, and References: Notes should be numbered consecutively and placed at the end of the article (endnotes). In-text citation should follow ‘author-date’ system.
- For books:surname, initials, (year). title of book, publisher, place of publication g. Fallbright, A. and Khan, G. (2001). Competing Strategies, Outhouse Press, Rochester.
- For book chapters:surname, initials, (year). "chapter title", editor's surname, initials, title of book, publisher, place of publication, pages, e.g. Bessley, M. and Wilson, P. (1999). "Marketing for the production manager", in Levicki, J. (Ed.), Taking the Blinkers off Managers, Broom Relm, London, pp.29-33.
- For journals:surname, initials, (year). "title of article", journal name, volume, number, pages, e.g. Greenwald, E. (2000). "Empowered to serve", Management Decision, Vol. 33 No. 5, pp. 6-10.
- Conference proceedings: Treat conference proceedings in the same way that you would a journal article, but insert the full conference title and dates where the journal title would normally appear.
- For websites:surname, initials (year). "title of cited work", available at: website link (accessed on appropriate date), e.g. Smith, R. (2004). "Managerial roles and coping responses", available at http://www.managerial.roles.coping.responses/ (accessed 29th June 2016).
